The real problem with nuclear power is that it is far more expensive than solar + wind + batteries.The Republicans in 2016 all tried to out-rightwing each other to get the nomination, and it didn't keep them from winning the general. Hopefully the Democrats can pull it off too, though I am dismayed that they are going about thins this way. The Republicans successfully poisoned the debate on immigration in their favor. Obama had a very sensible policy, but no Democrat dares to support that policy without looking like they have been bought by Trump. |
