Eh? Eliminating the EC would not do that in any way, shape or form.

In the short term, the Republicans in big cities would have a reason to vote, and there's likely a lot of them

What do you mean by "Republicans"? RINOs are the same as Democrats. Both RINOs and Democrats have driven out most of the conservative voters, and whomever remains are nullified by other means.
