You're committing the same mistake most other climatologists make, assumption by coincidence. Just because the Earth's temperatures have been rising the past 150 years does NOT mean it's man-made greenhouse gases which are to blame in any way.So the presence of CO2 doesn't trap infrared radiation in the atmosphere? Temperatures are dramatically greater than they were before the "little ice age" you're alluding to. If you think modern temperature trends are coincidental: What else would cause such dramatic warming, then? Sunspot activity is incapable of causing such rapid temperature changes. CO2 levels are increasing because most of the undeveloped world is now rapidly industrializing. Yup. They're precipitously accentuating the trend. But industrialized nations ought to curb their emissions, too, especially since they have the resources to do so. No one seems to want to tell China and India to "stop". What on Earth makes you think that!? |
