When there is sharp, clear video of a cop killing a Black person, and the DA declined to prosecute (see: Garner, where even the ME ruled his death a homicide by strangulation), that's a clear example of sweeping the case under the rug.The Jussie case, OTOH, was a strong case for the grand jury, but the police disemboweled it by mishandling the evidence. A trial would have been a mess. |
