Trump is so hated that a terrible candidate like Warren can beat him. But Democrats should not rely on that. Not only did it fail them miserably in 2016 and would fail them again, Democrats also need a candidate with good coattails to hang on to the House, win back the Senate (remember that Alabama is a sure loser in 2020) and get as many state legislative seats as possible. There are also 11 governors in 2020.
