No one is "taking his mic". Facebook is a business, and it has the right to choose whose content gets posted on the platform it owns. Jones is free to post his rants on a platform he owns and operates. He can have his mic, just not on Facebook's stage.Facebook's moderators restrict or terminate access to their site for thousands of users every day. Jones is just one such user with a louder megaphone than others. No one says Joe Blow from Decatur is being "censored" when he gets kicked off Facebook for posting his support of terrorist groups. Jones, a celebrity, posts things he knows will get other people hurt or possibly killed, and Facebook responds accordingly. Somehow, that's "censorship"? |
