Lots of testimony before grand juries.
Talked to Secret Service a fair amount.
Spent all day at the site of the murder of two NYPD cops.
Retired before age 55 with a pension over 100K.
Not a forensic analyst (though they wouldn't get that retirement deal anyway).
Works in NYC, late shift.
Has said less than positive things about the FBI (not that FBI fits well with the rest of the posted facts).

Best fits an NYPD senior grade of detective. Just maybe a NYPD Lieutenant.
