The problem is you cant distribute ethanol over distances due to corrosion. Thats the biggest draw back. I remember a CNBC report and it said for the U.S. to be have 0 use on foreign oil it would require 75% of the farms of the U.S. to switch to corn. Meaning instead of the U.S. requiring on foreign countries for oil, we'd be requiring them for food. It's one helluva toss up. |
