Yeah, I knew that much, but my problem with the whole damned thing is taking a bus to the subway, the subway to the PABT, and the PABT through the Lincoln Sphincter to Weehawken. Three transfers, an interminable ride, and too many permutations and combinations for there to be a problem somewhere, preventing me from getting to work on time or at all. If the 7 train derails, or there is yet another slow order on the Queens Boulevard line, or the Lincoln Sphincter is closed down for a terrorist investigation, or any one of a hundred other little breakdowns, multiplied by the number of transfers, and my commute is a wrap for the day. As it stands, it will take at least an hour and a half, if not two hours, for this whole commute each way, half of which will be waiting for the next vehicle, or walking to it to catch it. No thanks. Maybe the Railroad to Penn Station and either walk to the PABT or indulge myself in a one-stop subway ride if the weather is too inclement? But I am still over a mile from the RR station. What will that do to the commuting time? AK |
