Racial tensions are what gave us trump. For eight years the RW media have been pumping up an entire generation using complaint about job loss/ change requiring higher education (and the future focus that requires) to snare them in and then blame such on any "others", with a black President as the symbol. Add that transparent revival of outward racism to the underlying systemic racism in this country and you have today's volatility towards any "others".
