Yet he still signed off on the two atomic bombs used against Japan at the end of WWIIAgainst a very right-wing dictatorship. It was either that or send at least half million US personnel to their slaughter in a ground war against Japan. Truman knew war. Not bad for a former junior artillery officer. |
