Trump had a habit of loving to be on teevee before NBC gave him a weekly platform. Those may not be the EXACT words he used, but he has indeed laughed at how stupid the typical republican voter is. Snopes has a habit of being like Terrapin. If someone attributed it to People Magazine, then they will pay an Amazon "Mechanical Turk" (look it up) to go and read every damned copy ever printed, and if they don't find it there, judgement made yay or nay and end of story. They don't really dig any deeper than the literal.Yes, he's said that but after all these years I don't remember where I heard it either but I definitely remember him saying words to that exact effect somewhere in an interview. Snopes is useful indeed, and they do better research than Faux Noose, but they're every bit as much as a trusted "decision" as Wikipedia. They get it mostly right, but not always. |
