According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, 51% of the public approves of the Obama administration while 45% disapprove, the best numbers for the president the poll has registered since May 2013. The past few months have seen several success for the Obama administration, including achieving a nuclear deal with Iran and the Supreme Court’s affirmation of the Affordable Care Act. The country has also seen a continuing decline in unemployment and low gas prices. The latest poll, however, may be an outlier: other recent polls show him with even or underwater approval ratings, and the Real Clear Politics polling average for the month of October shows him with a 45.3-to-50.3 approval-disapproval rating.
