If I'm reading your link correctly their belief is that ones sex is something that is "assigned" at birth and can be reassigned later if the original assignment was incorrect. That your sex is not based on your physiology, but what your brain believes your sex to be. That's a new way to look at the issue and many believe that way is based more in social activism than science. If you read all sources and not just ones that you tend to agree with politically, a strong case can be made that their confusion is in fact a mental disorder unrelated to any true sex mis-assignment.The former chief psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins wrote this article in the WSJ. I wonder what the consensus of scientific opinion is? WSJ |
