Oh ... you want to help maintain the code? Well here's the keys to the kingdom. Upload the changes and we'll push it out. There's a bit more to it than that— there are other people who review the code, because that's sort of the point of open source. And as far as "open source" goes, Apple open sources most of the code in all they do. That's not what I heard. MacOS is based on BSD, and they publish the source code to the slightly-modified open source components they use, but I doubt the source code to Cocoa or Finder is available anywhere. I don't think they release any source code for iOS components. In KNOS, I am the final reviewer and arbiter of what is IN KNOS, and I'm a mutha about really checking out each line of code in everything. Except that since KNOS is proprietary, we have to take your word for that. |
