Many many MANY jobs these days are 1099's and self-employed.I'm well aware of that because as you know I am one of them. Wonder if they're counting any of those even though they pay in double for SS taxes and such? Nobody pays double the Social Security tax. The so called employers contribution is calculated in as part of the total cost of employing that labor. The employee never sees the itemized amount payed by the employer on their pay stub.
