Because it's not in the transcripts!Back in 1968 and 1969, I did a total of 14 news shows a week for WBAI. Only ONE of them, "Vietnam War Summary" was uploaded to Pacifica in California for retransmission on its other stations. Whenever Bingbong does a show for WEXT, it doesn't get sent to NPR. I'm merely suggesting, since I spent 30+ years in broadcasting that I know how it all works. It's VERY likely something like that WAS said on an NPR affiliate in California for LOCAL consumption and NPR never knew it went on the air. If you'd like, I'll tell you the story of Alan Chartock, an NPR *king* around here who owns and operates 13 NPR stations. And NPR *hates* him. |
