Funny thing, that. I remember 9/11 and the fact that the immediate response was to start rounding up anyone of the "wrong" ancestry and suspend basic political freedoms, then implement "security" policies more intended to establish authoritarianism than anything else.

If Israel "protects" its citizens in anywhere near the same way America does, then you have no business defending it.
