A religious organization with some very selective ideas about which mortal sins make you ineligible to march.

Not at all. Gays are eligible to march just like everyone else under the groups in the parade. There is no ineligibilty for gays. To march, heterosexuals also march under the banners provided too. There's no heterosexual group marching either.

So can you honestly claim a religious exemption if you are selective about those religious beliefs you actually enforce?

The dumbest argument in this. There are no heterosexual adulterers groups marching either. Gay "sinners" can march right alongside the heterosexual "sinners" in the parade.
