What I don't really understand is why well-meaning democracies sometimes feel a need to ban speech that is not a direct incitement to violence. Like the potential banning of the word Nazi in Israel, or France charging Brigitte Bardot with a crime for saying "I am fed up with being under the thumb of this population which is destroying us, destroying our country and imposing its acts."It should be possible to say these things without being allowed to say "Come on, follow me, bring your guns, and we'll get rid of some of these folks." |
