I don't see how anyone but an ostrich could be against some type of reform (doesn't mean you have to agree with the administrations proposal, but the numbers don't lie...)I may disagree with the Bush Administration's Social Security "reform" scheme, but had it been in place, my family probably would have benefited from it. Last May, my aunt passed away with no spouse or children. Currently, all of her social security money would remain in the hands of the federal government. Under the Bush Administration's plan, whatever she contributed would be returned to the executor of her estate to disperse as fit in her will. Admittedly, yes, it sounds like a good idea from the, but the staggering costs of conversion and government indebtness make it much less appealing. La Grande Anse |
