As long as everyone else was jumping on this bandwagon....Here's mine: Stem cell - pro Gun control - pro Abortion choice - pro, though I feel underage girls should have their parents aware. I also don't like to see it used as a form of "birth control". Federal healthcare - pro Port sale - anti Social Security reform - pro (And probably more than usual, as I just had my taxes done). I think there are too many people taking advantage of the system. Yesterday I found myself completely annoyed as I was waiting in line at the deli to get my bacon/egg/cheese sandwich made, and this woman throws about 10 Little Debbie cakes, 5 bags of potato chips, and various other junk food on the counter, and pays with a "benefit card". It annoys me that my hard earned money goes to crap like that. And then another one came in, and was also paying with some sort of subsity card for similar trash items. And the attitude on these people's faces is "like it's coming to them". I work too hard for my money to see my tax dollars wasted on people that have no intention of working, and feel handouts are a given. They can't speak English often times, yet somehow they know how to get welfare relief. < /rant > Morning after - pro Gay marriage - anti I don't agree with it being marriage. I do feel there should be some allowable common law status however, perhaps for the sharing of health benefits, etc for people like this. Public smoking ban - anti - I find it absurd. If people want to smoke in designated areas, I have no problem with that. i think it's insane that they did away with smoking sections in restaurants and bars. At least in ones where they had seperate enclosed areas. Patriot Act - pro Creation in schools - anti School is no place for religious beliefs, at least not in public schools. Motorcycle helmets - don't care - if someone wants to kill themselves, that's their problem. |
