The talking lamp isn't good for the soul. Unless of course you need more pills. :)In our case, we've bought a LOT of music over the years, plus I still have my old station's record library. Most of that's been digitized over the years into FLAC format. I can't stand the distortion of commercial CD's and MP3's make my ears ring with their shitty fidelity. Fortunately, I've KNOS'd our stuff and the totem media player plays FLAC in all of its 30+ KHz bandwidth, and at that sampling rate, sounds like analog. But commercial radio? Not a chance. Clean channel and the repetitive crap on satellite are just not my thing. But if you're willing to settle for MP3 audio, there's last.fm, Rupert's "Digitally Imported" and one of my favorites, Swiss FM. But I'd rather listen to FLAC. |
