Now that you mention it, Hudson Bus used to have a garage in Nashua in the 1980s when they operated those extra-long GMC Suburbans for their N.H. to Logan Airport shuttles. As I recall, the Old Look that I'd see running on the #4 bus on Northeastern Blvd. might have had a Hudson Bus lines logo on it (this was around the time Nashua Citybus operated second-hand New Looks purchased from Delaware). |

I believe they were 3501's(401-403) that Hunt. Coach had. They also had fishbowls(404,405) with turnstiles. I should know, since I drove them.I also remember going on a charter to Brookhaven Lab when I was a kid. It was on a Queens Transit Bus long before federally funded transit operators were forced to stop doing charter work. |

Hound - you're absolutely right about 401-403 being 3501s. I was referring to the small fleet that preceded them - 361-363. The replacements for that fleet were 401-403.About the 3501s - I believe they were diesel and automatic. But you would be the one to verify that as you actually drove them. Seems like the 3501s didn't last very long. Do you know if they were sold off or just scrapped? I have a vague memory of a blue and white painted school bus sometimes filling in for one of them. So I wonder if they had reliability issues. Or - maybe it was just capacity. |

The 3501s were diesel & automatic. Took off very fast. Was like driving a large van! Don't know what happened to them, although 403 lasted after 401 & 402 were retired. I don't recall a ny blue & white school bus,but there were times when regular yellow ones were used if the transits were OOS. |

The farthest I can remember are the Blitz buses with the blue flooring and red & blue roll signs. I believe it was on the B54 when I visited my grandmother at Farragut Houses. |
