VERY nice pics, and the buses look great! Interesting how there doesn't seem to be a wheelwell liner for the rear wheels like there are for the center and front wheels. |

I like how they put the side destination sign in the second passenger side window so the driver has a clear line of site out that window. Put, I think it would look alot better if they put the bus number over the front door or jsut behind it instead of on the glass. Just an opinion. |

I believe that's due to the fact that when it snows and the chains get placed on the rear tires, the wheel well liners get yanked off or damaged to a point where they just break off. So they probably don't evne waste their time doing so... |

The destination sign and placement of the fleet # goes back to the 1970s. The MANs and Flyers all had the #s and destination sign in that location. The exception to that rule was the gilligs delivered in 1996 where the destination sign was in the first window, however with the subisquent orders (and even Sound Transit orders) it was moved to the 2nd window back. its suppose to help with air circulation. Before they had tinted windows, they used to apply black numbers on a white background and place that in the window. |
