9222 wasn't in LGA before, must've came out of storage and its already getting half-ass treatment, WTF at the side number? LGA can have that one! :P

On the other hand 9222's relative, 9219 which I got on Q55 today was one of the best treated 1996 Nova I've seen in awhile, almost like it was still new. Very rarely are buses sent to shitty FP in such good shape, I'm impressed.

That 9(2)22 is 9322, and I'm surprised that a maintainer at LGA hasn't been told to correct that mistake. I saw it like that last week.

Or that's not the real number of the bus. The rear of it says 9322. The side number is partially removed, but the 3 is correct.

Isn't that against policy to label two buses with the same number? LGA is actually getting away with this?

There were multiple buses sharing numbers in the 110x series for about 3 weeks in 2006; the rigids then were renumbered into the 1800s.

Even UP and FLA has buses with messed up decals. 9184 is missing the 9 and it saids 184 on the front. Also quite a few of those 3900s when they were in FLA (Some 42xx & 45/46xx are still like this) are missing the "New York City Bus" decal on the rear. I guess they fell off in the wash or something lol.

When I was in junior high school, GMC old look 4120 was missing three digits of it's outside front fleet number. Only the 1 was there. A friend of mine got all excited when the bus pulled into the stop, and said "Look! It's bus number 1!" He was a bit disappointed when I told him it was really 4120....and a bit flabbergasted that I actually KNEW. :-)

"Look! It's bus number 1!"

Funny, I said the same exact thing to my friend when I saw fishbowl #1 on the B53(Q54), probably late 60's. For me, it really was bus number 1.

BTW, during the 70's and 80's when the older NYC buses were repainted to two-tone blue, afterwards, alot of those fleet numbers came off and much were missing, sometimes one digit, sometimes more than one.
