I haven't ridden Trans Bridge since 1983, but I do see the buses go through Flemington (since I moved here last year) all of the time. And on my way to work, I see the Frenchtown bus go south on 202 (around 7:15 each night), and sometimes I see the Doylestown bus, but I forget what times I've seen them. |

KCram 2500 will be able to help you out more on the historical side, but I can tell you that this line (the Doylestown/Frenchtown/Lambertville) service is a commuter run that was formerly a NJT service (whether they still directly operated it after 1983 when NJT was created I am not sure) - thus why you see a few D4500's on this service - it is a commuter service that compliments their Allentown/Bethlehem services via 22 in NJ to New York and Newark Airport/JFK - from what I know it is very reliable and they have a good operation and have a very strong patron base, particularly from Doylestown and the NJ side of the route. |

I don't know much about the company, but from pictures I've seen they have nice equipment. I think Royal Coach has several MCI models striped with Trans-Bridge.Also there is an episode of Law & Order SVU where a child trying to escape a band of pedophiles takes refuge in the luggage bay of one of TB's buses in a bus yard. |

Hey, don't downgrade my truck... it's a Ram 3500! :)The Doylestown route is not nor was it ever an NJT route. It was originally West Hunterdon Transit (which used to run bright green non-AC Flxible New Look suburbans). WHT received several MC-9s from NJT in the 80s, as did all other NJ operators of suburbans or coaches in line service. WHT was in financial trouble and was bought by DeCamp in the mid 80s, which kept them alive as a subsidiary. When NJT opted to give up their Allentown-New York route (originally the 150 from PSCT/TNJ, later renumbered 350) which competed with TBL, DeCamp also agreed to give the Doylestown route to TBL. NJT's involvement with the two routes was limited to supply of buses, ticket sales, senior/handicapped fare reimbursement, and schedule printing which NJT did for several years. |

Unfortunately, I don't have a roster old enough with WHT's MC-9s on it. They definitely had 9Bs at the end, as I remember seeing them in central NJ and on the Turnpike heading to/from NYC. |

One of the MC9B's from TransBridge is currently a museum piece at the Museum of Buses in Hershey, PA. It I think its 5414, could be wrong but its a 54xx series, nicely preserved. |
