In the grand scheme of things, seating numbers are important. It was a criticism of the ADBs back in the day, and it's even more valid in the LF era.

I know but it seems they have and since they have a problem with it (you know who those people are---or least one person whose name I will not mention), I'll just stop posting anything attachments, etc. that have to do with Houston METRO. My apologies to people like you but I don't have time to argue with those folks about things I really don't care about, ya know?

They'll get over it---I hope. ;)

just by looking at the position of the Q Card reloader, I suppose they chose this spot so fare-payers would not block the aisleway. I want to see interior pics of the low flyers for comparison.

In my opinion, I would be concerned for my personal safety with using one of these reloader machines on these buses. In mean, what if some crazy person decides to rob me while Im trying to reload my card ?

Yup---and in reality, I like how this is setup better than on the New Flyers. On the Orions, you can see that there is NO WAY that you can be in the way---unless you can't fit in between the machine and the seats.

In my opinion, I would be concerned for my personal safety with using one of these reloader machines on these buses. In mean, what if some crazy person decides to rob me while Im trying to reload my card ?

Good comment here. If one can, perhaps they can try to handle the reload business while not too many people are on the bus---to the point where it's just you by yourself (you being either the 1st or last person on the bus? Don't know if that'll help but if you try to do so before too many people board (if you're on there first), then you should be fine. Also, PLEASE do NOT carry too much money with ya and have it in your hand for the world to see. Only carry enough to reload the Q Card that'll last you through the day (or week)---depending on how much you'll ride during---either during the day or during the week.

WTF? I said "as you now know" because Houston METRO already told you! I made my post AFTER he told you, so I was recognizing the fact that I'm not the first to tell you, and that I wasn't ignoring or downplaying the fact that an answer was already provided (as certain other people constantly do). Your post inspired me to finally scan in my Q Card that I had sitting around for a long time. So I scanned it and made a post showing it. I'm sorry that you grossly misunderstood what I wrote.

Nah, I don't see any reason for being paranoid about reloading your card on the bus. It's no secret that most people who ride buses have at least a few bucks on them, and some credit cards. What difference does it make if you pull out the few bucks or a credit card to reload a Q Card, or if you leave them in your pocket the entire bus ride? You could be robbed either way. Showing a credit card or a few bucks is not going to convince someone to rob you who otherwise wouldn't. He know everyone already has those items in their pocket. If he wants to rob you, he'll do it no matter what.

Nah, I don't think there's anything to worry about - or rather, there's no significant additional risk. See my reply to METRO fan (123207) for my explanation.

Um, that means, in no uncertain terms, that you DO care, contrary to your claims. Think about it, if the number of seats doesn't matter, then how could you endure there will be a seat available???

So once again, thanks to HoustonMetro for posting a direct link.

OK then. No biggie. Hope you had enjoyed what it was and how it worked. I use it daily. Even though the new local base fare is $1.25 instead of $1, I still use it because to me, it's a faster way to pay your fare. The only way you'll waste time with the Q Card is if you have to reload it somewhere.

There are times in which cops maybe on board the train and YES, they have some sort of wand that'll check to see if you have recently paid. If you failed to swipe your card (whether or not they saw you not do so before you went onto the train), you will be issued a citation. Don't know how much the fine is---sorry.

Meh---not much of a waste if you ask me but if you don't have time to reload anywhere else, then your only choice is to do it on the bus.

As far as the location is concerned---that's the best place to have it at---even though I think it would have been better to place it near the front.
