Yes, from my experience living in that section of Washington Heights-Inwood (1966-1998), Fairview Avenue is situated on a narrow curved road that is severely steep. So is Fort George Hill between Dyckman Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue, plus West 187th Street as a westbound one-way street between Wadsworth Avenue and Broadway.-William A.
