Prior to Grumman, Flx was owned by Rohr from about 1972. This when Pres. Nixon wanted the aerospace companies to get involved in mass transit. In 1972, the gov't, in conjunction with UMTA, held Transpo '72 at Dulles Airport in DC, which brought on board companies like Rohr, Boeing Vertol and others. It was an interesting period. |
