You mean round-trip? Because Google Maps says it takes about 10 minutes each way to make it from Wantagh to Freeport, and then after you leave, the travel time to reach Jones Beach should be comparable from Freeport vs. Wantagh.

As a side benefit, it's a nice shortcut for anybody who needs to travel from Hicksville to Freeport.
