People won't include walking time to or from the bus stop ion their total trip time. They won't complain about it (at least, New Yorkers won't). That's the part of the trip that THEY control. When they have to depend on transportation services run by others, THAT'S where the time savings come into play.

I doubt many of the passengers are coming from the Lexington subway; they are more likely coming from the Lexington/Third Ave buses. It does prove that the SBS service is accomplishing its goals of speeding travel times.

And that's a success.
