The S54 originally only ran to Seaview Hospital, but that's not the solution. No one wants to go to Giffords Lane, Giffords Lane is a ridership source, not destination, which is exactly the problem with the S54, the only destinations it serves are a few schools, and Seaview Hospital if you want to push it. That being said, the solution to increasing ridership on the S54 IMO is to simply reroute it to the New Dorp shopping district. |
