Posted by (SIR) North Shore Line on Mon Mar 7 20:54:22 2011 In the most recent presentation for the North Shore Line, they finally mention how the bus alternative would work and it's very interesting to say the least. I would like for this plan to happen ASAP, even if they do choose to build the North Shore Line as a rail line eventually.The rail line would take years to be completed but the new local bus routing scheme below would do wonders for the time being. The S57 & S59 would cover the busiest portion of the S40, the S53 gets extended to Arlington & the sorely needed S83 is introduced. The only problem I have is that the S99 is running to West Shore Plaza of all places and not New Jersey! I would also assume that they would increase S46/S96 service to cover the loss of the S40/S90.
