I pulled out the April/May issue of Motor Coach Age and the issue was about City bus routes in Queens. The writer was Bernard Linder, current editor of the New York Division Bulletin and noted transit historian. The opening of the line was indeed on April 28, 1952. Sorry for the error. I had assumed that the line opened the day after the IND Queens line was extended to 179 Street on Sunday December 10, 1950. |
