[As I stated previously, people knew there would be cuts, but the media never specifically listed all the cuts, nor did the the public notices on the buses describe the cuts but just gave a brief general description saying the following routes would be discontinued or the following routes would be restructured or that service was being changed. You needed to go to the internet to know what was happening.]Elected officials have access to the internet. They could have downloaded the entire service cut package (or just used what the MTA sent to their offices) and distributed the information to anybody and everybody. They consciously chose not to do so. If they can't be bothered to act on behalf of their constituents, they don't deserve to be in office. |
