If everybody drove the same speed, there would be less accidents.But that's not how driving works. If you're cruising along doing 65, and come around a blind curve with a guy doing 45 in front of you, then you can be in trouble if there are cars next to you. I can't think of where this situation exists on the HHP. In any case, the bottom line is that the Henry Hudson Parkway was not designed for high speeds. Of course! Doesn't mean you can't still go faster than the posted speed limit. Driving is a skill. Some people do it better than others. |
