I was driving when taking these, so I had to settle for what I could get stopped at a red light (as a result, I didn't get any pics of the very nice new downtown Lynx bus terminal. Maybe on a future visit, I'll take the bus downtown and be able to get better pics).

Anyway...

There was a reserved lane for Lynx Lymmo buses on Rosalind (or was it Magnolia?) The traffic signals were timed so the bus got a few seconds jump on the parallel cars (running north on Rosalind/Magnolia). After the bus cleared the intersection, the signal went to "stop" for the bus lane, and the mixed use lanes turned green. This is needed so that cars can turn onto the intersecting streets w/out interfering w/ the buses. The cool part is that the bus signals are railroad type! Straight up and down ( | ) for proceed, diagonal ( / ) for caution and straigh across ( -- ) for stop. I'm sure this is to keep the idiot car drivers from going on the bus signals. Below is a closeup of the signal in caution mode:

That is the one great shot I got! Waiting to turn left, west of downtown (which is in "da hood"). I was trying to get back onto I-4 to return to Kissimmee, but one exit was blocked by construction. Finally after going around a couple times, I was able to get onto I-4 westbound. I didn't know it at the time, but I was close to the Lynx yard. I had been to the yard during the October 1999 Motor Bus Society trip, I didnt realize it was that close to downtown. I knew it was near the Citrus Bowl, and I saw the Citrus Bowl while I was driving around aimlessly, then I turned onto Anderson St and went right by it (again couldn't get pics, but I have a bunch from the 1999 event which I will scan and post...someday...)

All the above were taken in or near downtown Orlando. The next few I took, I have no idea where I was. After finally getting on I-4 west, my goal was to get back to Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (US 192), which is just across the line in Osceola County, where the hotel was located, and also the street that would take me to the Florida Turnpike to get back home. Well, surprise, the w/b I-4 doesn't have an exit at US 192! (even though I was able to get on I-4 e/b from 192). So I'm on the way to see Luch and OBS in Tampa, but I get off at the next exit. I figured I was further into Osceola County, so I'm driving around, trying to get back north to 192. Finally after a few minutes, I stop for directions at a 7-11. While I'm there, a Orange County Fire Rescue vehicle pulls in, and I'm thinking "what the hell is a Orange County FR doing in Osceola County). Well somehow, driving around, I ended up back in southern Orange County (dunno how I did that w/o crossing US 192, which is a big-ass arterial street, kinda hard to miss). Oh well, I was able to find 192 and get back home. Got these pics while at the 7/11. Think the buses were on line 8.

Got this last one earlier on International Drive, while driving to see some landmarks I saw during my 1999 MBS visit (some of those pics will be posted on OT Chat later)
