You basically have to become like a carriage horse with blinders and look straight ahead. I don't hassle anyone over anything. I just drive the bus and try and make it through the day safely. You're on your own out there and have to rely on your instincts and street smarts in order to make it. I've survived over 18 years doing the job this way and plan to continue doing it this way until I hopefully make it to retirement. You never know what kind of low life subhuman scumbag will board your bus at the next stop. If the TA wants me to enforce their rules then issue me a gun and then I'll enforce the rules. I drove the B46 back when I was a rookie and remember it being a scary experience.My heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends and co-workers of brother Thomas. May he rest in peace. |
