Unless he tags up a lot, they may not know him. You really have to do a lot of vandalism to become known.

Maybe, A few months back I noticed a new tagger "KATSU" he tagged up some surfaces around 2nd & 37th 2nd 36th 40th Madison & the Manhattan Bridge. I contacted the NYC vandals squad and he was in their data base already!!

Oh, Ok... I see. Yes well that's true.

My thought that it was only people under 33 who were stoopit enough to engage in such trivia. Also people over 33 have a better sense of the value of a monetary fine.

People over 33 aren't stupid and people under 33 have no sense of the value of money?

The equal protection clause was drafted to account for people like you, who have no qualms about dividing humanity into "US," people similar to you, and "THEM," a group of sub-humans who make up the population not similar to you.

yes I read it I think another poster posted it it is amazing as this guy didn't grow out of it, quite sad. That store should be shut down and never to have been allowed to open. We need to get volunteers together and start cleaning the tags and crap off of public areas. I'd volunteer I will try to pursue this in my spare time. As far as I know, this guy is not in jail for 2 years. I could spend all day listing sites that this guy has either scratched or spray painted. He is probably the worst vandal with regard to R-68 68 A scratchitti on the stainless steel. He actually makes thick strokes to make MAP stand out. Then there are the single "M" 's I would need a calculator to count how many are on track walls, roof tops and the roof tops adjacent to the Manhattan Bridge. THis guy is almost 40!

This news item was a very small article in the NY Post newspaper. Condensing of title was necessary to keep the title brief. All newspapers have done and still do this.

That is an even better reason to use correct grammar - ''Graffiti Teen' Hit by Train' would have been more concise.

Ugh. Downright ludicrous. Three words come to mind: SELF - INFLICTED INJURY. The fact that he lost a leg does not move me in the least. That was his own fault. If you are dumb enough to trespass onto subway tracks, you should be able to deal with the consequences of your actions. He should have never been on the tracks in the first place. Period.

yes and perhaps hitting him in the pocket with a heafty fine. Maybe even letting him spend thousands of hours cleaning up. I woudl like to see him use a metal buffer machine to buff out his tags on the interiors of the R-68's. I would also like to see him climb onto the roof tops and paint over his tags.

Now I bet you can understand why I get so over the top about this vandalism crap. It is so unnecessary and so costly. My dam interior was the designo type as well. It had a baseball glove color. WHat a nightmare. Beleive me there were only about 4 dime sized drops but I am sure by reading my posts, you KNOW I am not going to deal with that.

Yes. I still think you're taking it a little too personally, but I understand a lot better now. TBH I am starting to get more frustrated now that I see there are actually stores selling the damn supplies. Tomorrow I will write a letter to the MTA suggesting that they recruit volunteers in each region, supply them with supplies and let them clean the trains, Tracks/Tracksides (after a training class) and facilities. This is getting much TBH
