The report quotes noted "gay" scientists as well as "gay" philosophers who openly admit there is no research proving there is a "gay gene" or "gay brain." From the faulty premise that homosexuals are born that way, flow a number of other equally flawed assumptions. Two of these are: That society must encourage and protect individuals who think they were "born gay"; and that those who oppose homosexual behavior are mentally unstable (homophobic) and are trying to force homosexuals to deny their genetic destinies. "The Innate-Immutable Argument Finds No Basis in Science," by Drs. A. Dean Byrd, Shirley Cox, and Jeffrey W. Robinson, quotes one of the most vocal homosexual researchers Dean Hamer who noted: "Homosexuality is not purely genetic … environmental factors play a role. There is not a single master gene that makes people gay. . . . I don’t think we will ever be able to predict who will be gay." Homosexual researcher Simon LeVay who studied hypothalmic differences between the brains of heterosexuals and homosexuals, has noted: "I didn’t show that gay men are born that way, the most common mistake people make in interpreting my work. Nor did I locate a gay center in the brain." Camille Paglia, a lesbian activist has had the courage to boldly state what most homosexuals refuse to admit: "Homosexuality is not ‘normal.’ On the contrary, it is a challenge to the norm…Nature exists whether academics like it or not. And in nature, procreation is the single relentless rule. That is the norm. Our sexual bodies were designed for reproduction…No one is born gay. The idea is ridiculous…homosexuality is an adaptation, not an inborn trait…." Homosexual activists, of course, claim that their behavior is "normal" and that’s why the American Psychiatric Association (APA) removed homosexuality as a Gender Identity Disorder in 1973. What they fail to admit, however, is that homosexual activists literally terrorized the APA into removing homosexuality as a disorder. Homosexual scientist Simon LeVay admits this. He notes: "Gay activism was clearly the force that propelled the APA to declassify homosexuality." Whether homosexual behavior is normal and genetic is a significant issue under debate in American culture today. Congress is stampeding to pass "hate crime" and "non-discrimination" laws providing special rights for homosexuals; school textbook writers are producing pro-homosexual materials for elementary school children; Hollywood is openly promoting homosexuality and cross-dressing; and liberal church leaders are blessing homosexual "unions"—all under the false premise that homosexuality is a positive, normal, and genetically-based lifestyle. Our lawmakers, media elites, school officials, and church leaders would do well to study the scholarly research provided by NARTH (www.narth.com) on this important social movement—before they continue to homosexualize our culture—and to punish those who oppose homosexual behavior as a sexual perversion and sin. |

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbours. They keep phoning the police claiming that the odor is noxious. Should I smite the guy next door after the cops leave? 2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her given that she's only 12-years-old? 3. And speaking of children, my teenage son is stubborn and rebellious. I know that I should have him stoned to death by all the men in the city (Deut. 21:18), but I live in a city of over a million, and that's just not going to be easy to organize. Couldn't I just get my buddies at work to pump a few rounds from a shotgun in him for target practice? 4. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense. 5. (For Americans only) Lev. 25:44 which states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? I have been unable to find any reference to Canada in the Bible. Why can't I own Canadians? 6. The guy down the street insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or can I round up a posse of neighbours and stone him to death first thing Monday morning? 7. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? This is a serious problem for me as my wife (husband) loves shellfish. 8. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear contacts. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? 9. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.19:27. How should they be put to death? 10. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves? 11. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them (Lev. 24:10-16)? 12. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws (Lev. 20:14)? 13. Jesus says Himself that if a Christian drinks a deadly poison, it won't hurt him at all. (Mark 16:18) I think that's absolutely amazing. Since you're a devout Christian, could you demonstrate that to me by swallowing this bottle of rat poison? Jesus is *NOT* a republican ... he dealt with your kind 2,000 years ago ... |

The Mosaic Code consists of two types of laws: moral and ceremonial. (Analagous to modern law's mala in se and mala prohibitum, respectively). Moral laws are included in the Mosaic Code because they are in and of themselves wrong (e.g., murder, adultery, human sacrifice, sodomy, etc.). Ceremonial laws are included in the Mosaic Code because they were shadows of things to come. They were ceremonies that represented something (e.g., not eating certain types of animals, not wearing clothing of mixed fibers, etc.). These ceremonial laws foreshadowed Christ, and certain other eternal concepts. These ceremonial laws were done away with when Christ came. See Colossians 2:13-23. The moral laws, however, always have been and always will be in effect. We are supposed to follow the moral laws.The context of the verses in the Mosaic Code that forbid sodomy is important. Leviticus 18:22 says "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." This verse is part of a list of abominations that were done in Egypt and other nations, for which the Lord spued the people out. In other words, He punished other nations for these abominations. This means that these abominable acts were not only forbidden to the ancient Jews, but to ALL nations (whereas the ceremonial laws in the Mosaic Code only applied to people in the Jewish nation). Any nation that engages in these abominations will be destroyed. To paraphrase the context of Leviticus 18:22 - don't have sex with a menstruating woman, don't commit adultery, don't sacrifice your children, don't commit sodomy, don't commit bestiality. The question is: why are all of these things still abominable, except sodomy? Why is sodomy suddenly OK? If you claim to believe the Bible, and you're at all logical, it makes no sense to say that sodomy is OK. Leviticus 20:13 says "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." What's the context of this verse? To paraphrase - don't commit adultery, don't have sex with your step mother, don't have sex with your daughter in law, don't have sex with other men, don't have sex with your mother in law, don't have sex with animals. Once again, all of these verses condemn things that are morally wrong, as opposed to ceremonially wrong. It makes no sense to suggest that all of these are still wrong - except sodomy. Finally, people ask this question to try to prove a point. And the point is "the Mosaic Code contains lots of stuff that we don't follow anymore - why should we still follow the verse that forbids sodomy?" For example, "if it's OK to eat pork, why isn't it OK to commit sodomy?" I believe I've answered this above, but I'd like to point out that the above statement makes about as much sense as "if it's OK to eat pork, why isn't it OK to murder?" |

Federal encouragement and support for sex education courses, prepared and taught by gay women and men, presenting homosexuality as a valid, healthy preference, lifestyle, and as a viable alternative to heterosexuality. 7. Appropriate executive orders, regulations and legislation banning the compiling, maintenance and dissemination of information on an individual's sexual preferences, behavior, and social and political activities for dossiers and data banks, and ordering the immediate destruction of such data. 8. Federal funding of aid projects for social and political activities of gay women's and men's organizations designed to alleviate the problems encountered by gay women and men which are engendered by an oppressive sexist society. 9. Immediate release of all gay women and men now incarcerated in detention centers, prisons, and mental institutions because of sexual offense charges relating to victimless crimes or sexual orientation; and that adequate compensation be made for the physical and mental duress encountered; and that all existing records relating to the incarceration be immediately expunged. STATE DEMANDS: 1. All federal legislation and programs enumerated in Demands 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 above should be implemented at the state level where applicable. 2. Repeal of all state laws prohibiting private sexual acts involving consenting persons; equalization for homosexuals and heterosexuals for the enforcement of all laws. 3. Repeal all state laws prohibiting solicitation for private voluntary sexual liaisons; and laws prohibiting prostitution, both male and female. 4. Enactment of legislation prohibiting insurance companies and any other state-regulated enterprises from discriminating because of sexual orientation, in insurance and in bonding or any other prerequisite to employment or control of one's personal demesne. 5. Enactment of legislation so that child custody, adoption, visitation rights, foster parenthood, and the like shall not be denied because of sexual orientation or marital status. 6. Man, this is more fun than a community whiz at Jay Street ... and NO SOAP on the floor either ... well ... yeah, maybe a Lifebuoy, but we KNOW where it's been, 'nuff said. :)Normally, I avoid these things like the plague, ESPECIALLY on THIS topic. I grew up in Da Bronx. EVERYBODY questions their sexuality growing up in the city where you're a pussy if you don't beat up so and so, or this other guys whoops your ass. And before you actually get some on you, I think EVERY guy thinks they've "gone pink" ... one MORE distraction to throw at this is that in the 1970's, the GUYS usually looked better than the wimmen and I *loved* to hang out on Christopher Street after the Stonewall incident, just to take in the cat-fights and be amused and among folks who were largely peaceful and not QUITE as likely to stab you as my homies on Fordham. Heh. So yeah, I "did a little bi" to check it out - found my own way and have been comfortable with my "non-sinning self" ever since" ... but the MAIN thing is, I got "over it," have seen all sides of it, enjoyed the company of some really nice people and don't worry about soap on a rope. If some guy managed to levitate his towel looking upon my bod at age 53, I suppose I oughta be greateful! Hahahahahaha. But folks who are THAT obsessed tend to become serial killers. This is why I'm worried about the boy and that he not encounter any exposed doorknobs out there. With the "assault weapons ban" dead, I'm seriously getting worried for y'all. =) |

I do not read the NYT, and in fact do read the Bible daily, (several times a day in fact). Is there anything I said that was in conflict with what is said in the Bible. I said that children must feel comfortable speaking with their parents about their own sexuality, and that parents must feel comfortable with the subject, even if they do not have all of the answers. Nothing will tear a family apart faster than closed doors and confrontations over a subject (human sexuality) with which a young person may be struggling. |
