The only valid strategy to beat the backward hicks who harbor terrorists is to elevate those hicks and their surroundings such that terrorism is not an attractive lifestyle. That's what Roosevelt did to the Confederacy with the rural electrification program, and it bought us an almost 50 year respite from their ignorance and bigotry. Unfortunately their uncouth nature has begun to leak through in the past decade or two, but we simply need something else to return civility to them. |
