I think the point that some people are making is that it's not a crime to impersonate an MTA employee.Depends on the sense of 'impersonate'. It's not necessarily a crime to impersonate an MTA employee. So when Mrs. Claus likes it when Santa dresses up as a TSS dispatched to troubleshoot her caboose in their bedroom, and Santa does like she wishes, he's not doing anything criminal. (Maybe it's a sex crime in more puritanical places, but that's about it). But this sort of example is about a million miles away from what was the case here. This was roleplay alright, but it was on board MTA property in a restricted access area. But here, we are talking about an impersonation that is possibly a criminal act; it's hard to tell from what we know, but it could easily be the case that it indeed is. |
