The subway USUALLY only does that for the terminals.As I said, usually. Anyway... Sheepshead Bay? Forest Hills? Jackson Heights? Marble Hill? Briarwood? Jamaica(-Van Wyck)? East New York (now retired)? Howard Beach? Isn't "Forest Hills" a terminal station? Jackson Heights is an old remnant from the IND days, as is East New York, and Howard Beach dates to that station on the LIRR. Jamaica-Van Wyck? I have no idea why it's called that. Must have been some lapse of judgement in the 1980's. That's not even really Jamaica over there, if anything, it's on the extreme fringes. Briarwood? Another lapse in judgement because they were foolish enough to call the next station by a similar name. |
