Since the area is already so conjested along the area South of the LIE, it would not make any sense to run an LRT down at grade level. Maybe if it were somehow elevated with concrete structures, then YES. But the de-activate part of the roadway, that would never fly for the affected communities. Light Rail do offer greater flexiblites that a heavy-rail application. |
