I went over to Penn Coach yard in Philly today to shoot the new Viewliners that are stored there. While up on the Robert Vogel Memorial Parking Garage I noticed a bunch of hard hatted people were making their way to the 3 types of cars parked there. Looks like Amtrak is using them for tours or some kind of familiarization for employees. Note the gang to the left of baggage/dorm #69000:

Diner #68000 is named Albany:

I could not see the sleeper's name for obvious reasons. The entire former 40th Anniversary consist is connected to the 3 new cars:

Click HERE for more info on the Viewliner II project.

Market-Frankford Line got me to 30th St.

PATCO got me to the MFL . Check out that new track work on the Ben Franklin:

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!! :-)

More than likely, you hit the nail on the head. Looked certainly like employee equipment familiarization class. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is typically what we would have to wear whenever we go thru anything that involves hands-on, in-person familiarization up close with equipment.
