Who will win the race to put their new toy on the tracks to carry REAL PASSENGERS? Will it be the M8 or the SLV?

Outstanding shots Paul! Those M8's are better looking than I imagined. I still think they are ugly up front, but nicer looking with the black band around the windows, and red stripes to give the sleeker look.

Excellent pics, Paul! The train with a face only a mother can love - a distinctive and remarkable profile! They look sharp, that's for sure.

All the Sanders on M7's are removed or out of service.
The Silica dust used in them is higly cancer causing and no one wanted to sign off on who was gone fill the sanders.
so no there will be no sanders on the M-8s or 7 for that matter

Thanks Chris!!! :-)

In a little bit, I am gonna speak more about those M-8s!! After the wee early hours of this morning, I have more reason to truly love those machines!! They run VERY well, and since they been road testing, there have been no real problems of any kind.

I will speak a little more on them in an upcoming post!! ;-)

Stay tuned!! :-)

I only wish I could have used my DSLR instead of a cell cam!! :-(

However, I not think they are awesome looking, but believe me these babies can run and run well!! I shall speak on that more in an upcoming post (though for obvious reason, I am not divulging TOO much....just enough to suffice!!).

Stay tuned!! ;-)

Well, given that the M-8 has done exceptionally well in its tests so far, up to and including last night's, and from what I have heard the SLVs have not done so well in theirs, safe to say unless a massive setback on the M-8 occurs, ours will be running in service first. AFAIK, there are only 2 cars (1 pair) of SLVs, so I cannot imagine it will run in passenger service with ONLY 2 cars!!

Yeah, I guess!! And then again, I have seen my fair share of 2 and 3 car trains on the main line at Bristol (NEC, R-7 Line).
