Metro-North goes to Waterbury, but then it would be a 9-10 mile taxi ride from Waterbury to Thomaston.BTW, Essex station on the Valley Railroad is only 4 miles from Old Saybrook, which is serviced by either Amtrak or Metro-North/Shore Line East. There's both a shuttle bus and a tourist "trolley" that operates from Old Saybrook to Essex. Lee |
