Why not lobby Philadelphia to set up a museum instead of freeloading off New Yawkers? Unless you're talking about setting up a brand new "all cities transit museum" someplace.Another way Philly could show some initiative is to make Pizza Joints out of the cars; that way some of the revenue could be banked for a future home for the subway cars. Or just keep 'em as pizza joints. See? Could happen yo. your pal, Fred |

The New York Transit Museum is a division of the MTA and uses facilities provided by the MTA. They have a very limited scope governed by the agency that controls them. It's not like they have their own storage space and maintenance facilities to expand their collection like a private museum would. |

NO WAY!Keep the Philly cars in Philly. The NYC transit museum has there hands full now;what about the "D" types that are rotting away. The "D",s should be the first on a list of cars that should get donation for overhaul/rehab.A few years a go i meet a guy from Philly who worked for SEPTA,and was trying to start up a museum like what we have in NYC.He had a hard time from the people on top.Be glad that we have a a transit museum, and that we have cars that were saved, and have,R1-9 and Low -V, BU,s and others that run.We are lucky that people back in the mid-70,s saved and restored these,s cars. The Philly cars can go to a train museum in PA. |

No, a Broad St. car is a Broad St. car. They have nearlyidentical air brake and MU systems, but then again, so do the standards and the D types, or the standards and the R9s. |
