Posted by FYBklyn1959 on Thu Jul 17 17:02:52 2008 NYC: Starting with one of the world's greatest railfan views: :)  Next, LIRR    The last 2 pics are of switch segments that were being stored on flatcars on a siding behind the east platform of the Queens Village station, no doubt for the track work that was being done just to the east of the station (there were work crews out on Saturday, when I was waiting fot the train to NYP, but I didn't get pics).  West Side yards taken from the inbound Acela on Sunday 15th (wonder if it was the train I ended up taking to Jamaica)  Took this when we were stopped at Forest Hills (or was it Kew Gardens?)   This was while waiting for the AirTrain at Jamaica. That's the platform door in the way, I didn't feel like getting up from the seat to get a better pic (besides, there's a better one in the "LIRR in LIC" thread) My one crappy subway pic that I got:  Manhattan-bound 7, which seemed to be waiting to get into QBP Joisey pics: NJ Transit:   PATH (sorry, no PA-5s) :(      And finally, my one SEPTA rail pic. Near 30th St station:
